Top 4 SYTYCD and Catching up on our Life!

Okay so I will get to the recent events in our life in just a second but I just wanted to start by saying what a fantastic top 4 for So You Think You Can Dance. 3 of 4 people that I picked to be in the top 4 are. I had picked Joshua, Katee, Twitch and Kherrington. Since Kherrington was eliminated Courtney is a perfect replacement. This is first year that I honestly do not have a preference to who wins. I'm leaning towards Twitch, but it's so hard to decide. Mike also thinks that Twitch will win. I've started a vote, please select who you want to win.

Now to our life. Everything has basically been the same. My aunt passed away suddenly last week, so I spent Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday in Idaho so I could attend the funeral. I just have to say that since Mike wasn't able to take time off to go up with me, he made sure that my house was spotless by the time I came home so I didn't have to worry about anything and could just relax when I got home. It was so sweet. I know I can always count on him.

Then yesterday Mike's Grandma Kay and Grandpa Tom came to visit. The whole family got together for dinner. It was nice seeing Grandma and Grandpa. Mike, Bill ( Mike's dad) and Grandpa Tom all swim and played basketball in the pool. It was hilarious watching them because all 3 of them had a hard time making the baskets. Mike and his dad also raced yesterday. They can be very competitive, but Mike won the first race, but the second race was interrupted when Mike got jabbed in his shoulder, by an unknown source. :) After dinner Grandpa Tom, Tina, Noah, Mike and I watched So You Think You Can Dance. It was awesome watching it in the theater room. We have been missing out all season. Hopefully we can watch the finale on that big screen. Below are some pictures of the last few weeks.

All in all it was a good break from the daily grind. We have a wonderful family.

Recent Events

So it's time to catch up since we have slacked on updating everyone.

So about a week ago, my brother Tyson called asking me if I could help him with his chemistry homework. I had to laugh because I lasted maybe 2 weeks in the class and transferred to physics. But Mike was very good at Chemistry so he offered to help Tyson. We ended up making a night of it and having dinner at our house. It was a perfect night because there was an event going on at Thanksgiving Point, so we got to watch fireworks again from our perfect view. It was awesome.

Then yesterday I took the cutest picture that I just have to share. Mike was playing a video game and both Jozy and Teejay were just laying on him. They really love Mike and love to cuddle with him.




Today was a fun day. Since FRANK's adoption was finalized Kim and Brandon were able to seal her to them. Mike and I watched Brody and Noah so that Tina and Billy could go into the temple. After the sealing we took some family photos, and then went to the Brandon's parents house for a luncheon. The rest of the day we just hung out at Mike's parents. Mike and I watched Brody, so that Tina and Billy could have a break and watch Noah swim. Then I went and met my mom to get a pedicure. For my birthday my mom got me a gift certificate to get a pedicure. I enjoyed being pampered, and the great thing is that thanks to Tina and Billy I will get the chance to be pampered again. While I was gone Mike stayed and watched Brody some more,
and then helped his mom set up a blog. He's so nice to his mom. Here are some pictures of today.

So You Think You Can Dance!

Ok so Mike and I watched this last this show and every week we guess who is going into the bottom 3 and who is going home. So I figured I would post our predictions of last nights show, to see who is right, if either of us is. Mike thinks that Chelsea and Mark, Comfort and Thayne, and Jessica and Will will be in the bottom 3. I think it is Courtney and Gev, Comfort and Thayne, and Jessica and Will. We both agree that we think it will be Comfort and Thayne going home. I wish that all 12 could go on the tour, because they all may not be my favorite ( because Katie and Joshua, and Kherrington and Twitch are) but I enjoy everyone that has made it this far. Last year at this point I was really hoping that they sent a few people home so they didn't make the top 10, because they bugged me. Well we will see who is right. 4th of July and New Entertainment center!

The 4th of July was really fun. We went to Mike's Parents to go swimming and to BBQ. We swam for a few hours. Mike, Kim, Billy, and Noah all took turns getting into throwing fights with the Swosh balls. FRANK floated around in her little boat and was trying to drink the water and eat the steering wheel. A little later Tina came over with little Brody. After we ate I offered to watch Brody. He slept the whole time I held him. We got him to semi-wake up. He woke up when Grandma Paula was holding him so we were able to see his little eyes. Later on in the evening we all went back to our house to watch the fireworks. We lit most of the ones we had bought at Costco and then went in the back yard to watch the Thanksgiving Point fireworks. We had an excellent view. It was a great 4th of July.

Then yesterday we went furniture shopping. I had got some money for my birthday, and Mikes and mine birthday present from his parents was a RcWilleys gift card so we could get the entertainment center we had been wanting to get. We found a great Entertainment center and it was on clearance. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the purchase of this awesome Entertainment center. I'm so excited. The bottom part was out of stock so we will get it in 2 weeks and once it's all together it will look amazing. We also got Mike a chair so that when he is playing his game he doesn't have to pull out our couch so he can see the TV. We almost have everything we want for the house. We only have a few more items to get. Then last night Brandon, Kim, and FRANK came over and played Rockband. That game is so much fun. Below are a few pictures from the 4th. Enjoy.

Amazing Birthday!

Today was an amazing day. First off we went to Costco and got a gigantic thing of fireworks for tomorrow night. I'm so excited. It will be nice because our back yard faces the field that Thanksgiving Point does their fireworks in. We have a front row view and we won't have to worry about parking or a place to sit.

Anyways, after we got our fireworks my loving husband let me get Panda express even though it makes him sick. We ate lunch and then went to the Thanksgiving Point Museum of Ancient History, since I had never been there. We walked around and saw all the exhibits. It was really cool. It was interesting going through the different periods of the earth's development as well as the different development of animals. It's amazing how old the earth is, and how many changes it has went through. After we walked through the Museum we saw one of the movies that was playing on the Mammoth 3D screen. We saw Wild Ocean 3D. Which is about the area in of of the Africa coast that is the least ruined by humans. Was very political. It seems you cannot go to a nature show without being preached to anymore. It was very beautiful cinematography though.

When we got home Mike fell asleep with Teejay laying next to him, and Jozy fell asleep on the couch by me. They took a long nap. When Mike woke up he went upstairs and came down with a gift certificate for a massage. It was so sweet. I can't wait to take advantage of that relaxing massage. Then we went to Goodwood with Mikes parents. The food there is amazing, and their potato salad is the best ever.

By the time we got back from Goodwood the results show for So you think you can dance had fully recorded. Last night I had guessed who would be in the bottom 3 and I was right. This year is playing out the way it should, the people who are going home deserve to go home in my opinion. Teejay and Jozy like to watch it with me too. The picture below was taken by Mike as all 3 of us watched it.

I had an amazing birthday, and now I can't wait to celebrate the 4th of July.

Pre-Birthday for Britta

Today we celebrated my birthday with my family, because my mom will be out of town for my birthday. It was lots of fun. We went and saw Hancock. Which the critics were way wrong. I loved the show. It seems that every show that the critics say is going to be bad, turns out to be really good. So we now know that if they say it's going to be bad then it's a must see. :)

After the movie we went to Ruby Tuesdays. It was really good and we had lots of fun. My brother, Tyson, was too shy to ask our waitress out so he wrote his number on the receipt and is hoping that he gets a call. It was fun getting together and going to dinner and a movie.
