Catching up and Trip to Durango Colorado

So I have been a slacker. I (Britta) went with my brother, Tyson, Grandparents on the Adamson side and some aunts and uncles to see where my dad lives, this trip was about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately Mike had to work so he wasn't able to come. We left Friday morning and stopped at Mesa Verde National Park. It was fun to see the Indian Ruins. I love doing stuff like that. We got into Durango in the evening and just hung out at my dad's apartment. The next morning we took the famous train that goes from Durango to Silverton. It was about a 4 hour trip, but was so worth it. It was absolutely beautiful. It took us through San Juan National Forest and the scenery is absolutely amazing. When we got to Silverton my dad met us there so we wouldn't have to take the train back. We explored Silverton and it was a cool place to see. I found it funny that they only had one paved road in the town. On our way back from Silverton my dad took us and showed us some cool places. The college there is on the top of the mountain and when you go up there you have the most amazing view. That night we went to this BBQ joint for dinner. I believe it was called Totally Texas BBQ but not positive. It was really neat. There is a deck you can sit on to eat and it overlooks the Animas river. After dinner we explored the different shops in Durango. It was kind of like Park City but bigger. It was a really fun trip. That part of Colorado is so beautiful.

We have been keeping busy. We go and support my brother every Friday night and watch his highschool games. Its fun watching him play. Last night we went to his Homecoming game and his team won the first homecoming game for Kearns High since 1996. I start one of my photography classes on Tuesday and I'm so excited, I will probably get lost on the Campus though. I got my new Nikon P6000 Camera last week and I love it. It's such an amazing camera. Mike is getting a new computer which he is so excited for. He has been wanting a new one for awhile and found an awesome deal on a Dell Quad Core system with an awesome video card setup and a huge hard drive. It will be nice for me to do video and picture editing on.

Also thanks for every one's votes on my hair. I decided to go with the change and change it to brown. It seemed to be the popular vote and also Mike's vote. The dogs also got hair cuts and when Mike was taking the picture of me so I could put it on the blog the dogs decided they wanted to have there picture taken and jumped up on my lap, so below I've included the picture of the dogs and me.

I will put more pictures on my facebook later. I took so many and there are alot of cool ones, but there are too many for the blog.

Making decisions about my hair.

So at the top right hand corner of our blog there is a poll. I can't decide if I should keep my hair dark blonde or if I should go back to brown. I posted pictures below some of them are really bad quality and old but I had them on a USB from a project I was doing and I don't want to go through all my pictures to find some others. But they give you an idea of what I look like with the hair color.

Medium Brown

Dark Brown : sorry about the full picture on the right but If i were to crop it it would be so blurry you couldn't see it.

And this picture is from now. It's the most recent and is on the blog from the concert we just went to.

Thanks everyone for your opinion.

Picture Tag

We were tagged by Kim. Here are the rules...go to your pictures and go to the fourth file and then the fourth photo in that file and you have to post the picture....Here it is...

Last fathers day my brothers and I met my dad half way in Moab. We went and explored the arches and went to the hole in the wall. This picture is from the hole in the wall. Tyson and Brock were trying to see if they were fast enough to catch this bunny that was just chilling under the tree. You can see Tysons feet in this picture as he was trying to sneak up on it.

I tag: Jessica, Elisa, and Mel.

Update and SYTYCD Concert!

So to catch up quickly. Mike and I switched over to Verizon last week and we both got the LG Dare. We absolutely love them. Verizon is so much better then Qwest. We also switched my family over to Verizon as well so we can all talk for free. We went to another of my brothers games last friday. Unfortunately we didn't get to see him play too much because his knee was injured, hopefully this game he will be able to play more.

Last night Mike and I went to the So You Think You Can Dance concert. It was so much fun. They did most of my favorite dances. They also added a little comedy in the show having Gev dress up in dresses and try to pursue Chelsie Hightower and Courtney. Below are some pictures. They had asked us not to use flash photography if we were going to take pictures so we honored their request so some of the pictures are a tiny bit blurry but they turned out pretty well.

These first pictures are our dogs in the car on the way to my Mom's house.

It was an extremely fun night, and I'm so happy I have a husband that is willing to go to things like this with me.

Highschool Football.

On Friday night, Mike and I joined my family at Lehi High school to watch my little brother Tyson, who is not so little anymore, play football. He was starting quarterback and did a really good job. Tyson plays for the Kearns Cougars. The Cougars won the Lehi Pioneers 12 to 8. Unfortunately the game was poorly officiated. Kearns got a lot of penalties and not to say that they didn't deserve most of them but some of them were completely bogus. They called back a touchdown from Kearns because of pass interference however we recorded the game and rewound back to see if we could see anything and unfortunately our guy was no where near the one of the Pioneer team members so it couldn't have been pass interference. But even with some bogus calls Kearns still won. It was a very good game and it was fun to watch Tyson. Since it's his Senior year we plan on going to every game we can.

We felt so old sitting in a crowd of High school kids, they are so annoying, I was probably the same way when I was in High school and so I am apologizing to everyone who had to put up with me and my friends at the football games. I've only been out of high school for a little over 4 years and Mike has been out for almost 10 years and even in though it hasn't been that long ago it feels like forever ago. Below are a few pictures from the game.

Tyson is number 10 or for anyone who knows football he is in the quarter back position.

Mike and I at the game.

Next week we go to the So You Think You Can Dance Concert so I hope to have tons of pictures from that.
